With so many choices on the market today, if you are new to SEO Automated Tools it's easy to get lost. As someone who has tried just about everything there is out there, let me help you get started in choosing the right tools for your SEO toolbox by sharing you some of the cornerstones of mine. I have spent thousands of dollars on SEO software over the span of my 7 years in internet marketing and I have compiled the list of below "Must-Haves" for any serious internet marketer. So without further adieu here are my Top picks!

Pros: All-In-One SEO Tool, Updated Regularly, Good Support, Built-In Scheduler.
Cons: Takes A Little Time To Learn, Pricey.
Cost: Monthly Subscription Of $127-147.

Probably the most talked about SEO tool in the industry, SEnukeX offers a complete SEO automation solution. This piece of software does it all. It can create backlinks via web 2.0, social network, social bookmarking, article directory, press releases, rss feeds, and forum profiles websites. It has built in indexing and pinging options as well. My favorite option though is the ability to schedule campaigns and let it run on auto-pilot. You literally can set this tool up, push a button, and walk away from it and it will build you backlinks for months if you tell it to do so. It also has an auto-recovery option as well where in the event it crashes it will reboot and start up again. There are SEO companies out there that are built on this software. Are you feeling the hype yet? LOL.

Though it is an All-In-One SEO solution and does everything, SEnukeX doesn't necessarily do it well. Actually let me rephrase that. SEnukeX does a good job at what it does, however it is not the best at what it does. If you were to break apart SEnukeX piece by piece, you would find that there is better software out there for the individual modules it supports. For example Article Marketing Robot is FAR superior at article submissions than SEnukeX is. Likewise with Bookmarking Demon, SEnukeX gets crushed when you compare its performance to Bookmarking Demon for social bookmark submissions. It is also a bit pricey for some at $127-147 per month, so some may not be able to really afford the cost.

That being said, SEnukeX as far as All-In-One SEO solutions goes is hands down the best out there. If you want to just learn one piece of software that does everything and be done with it then SEnukeX is for you. A lot of people feel that SEnukeX is too pricey, but I find that it is WELL worth the money as it saves me a lot of time and allows me to get a tremendous amount of work done. If you value your time at all, you will find that SEnuke helps you to be more productive by allowing you to build and schedule campaigns that run on auto-pilot. The support is also top-notch as well, and the SEnukeX engineers offer regular updates pretty much on a weekly basis. Sites are constantly being added and removed from its database, and there also is a support forum as well where other SEnukeX users and moderators can discuss anything from bugs to SEO strategies.

If I could only have one automated linkbuilder in my toolbox Article Marketing Robot (AMR for short) would be it. Article Marketing Robot is an article submission software that allows you to submit your articles to thousands of article directories across the web. At a push of the button you can literally create thousands of backlinks in a matter of minutes. It also has a "drip feed" scheduling option built in where you have the option to blast out your articles over a period of hours or even days if you are concerned about Google penalties. This tool is extremely powerful and can get you to page 1 of Google pretty quickly for some easy to medium competition keywords, and repeated use can get you to the top for some tough keywords if you know what you're doing.

If there was a downside to AMR it would be that it takes a bit of time (not much but still) to learn how to use it. Also out of the box it doesn't come with many article directories pre-installed so you are going to have to add your own directories to it to get anything out of it (Search Engine Rockstar will feature these lists soon). Also because it does submit to so many sites you are going to need some sort of captcha solving service (I recommend Death By Captcha) which will add a little bit to the cost. However again it is a very powerful piece of software that can easily propel you to the top of Google if you combine it with good keyword research and are consistent. It is the industry standard when it comes to article submission software and I highly recommend it if you are serious about improving your search engine rankings.

Pros: Ability To Add Sites, Submits To Thousands Of Sites, Built-In Scheduler, Fast, One Time Fee.

If Article Marketing Robot is the industry standard for article submission software, Bookmarking Demon would be the industry standard for social bookmark submissions. If you take the time to write decent articles and create thoughtful bookmarks, Bookmarking Demon can actually drive a ton of traffic as it has the ability to post to some of the most popular social bookmarking sites on the net. It also allows you to add additional bookmarking sites (I have 3500 loaded on my copy), and offers the ability to "camouflage" itself as it can mimic human behavior when posting allowing your links and accounts to stay alive longer. Bookmarking Demon supports a built in scheduler as well allowing you to set the times you wish your social bookmarks to be submitted which is a nice feature to have.

Though a great piece of software, my biggest issue with Bookmarking Demon is that if you are new to the software in my opinion it is really confusing to set-up. Once you get it going its a breeze, but that first couple of days can be tough. I will be posting a video tutorial soon on how to set it up, but just know it takes a bit of time to learn. Also if you don't know how to program your settings properly, this tool can burn through a lot of captchas really quickly if you aren't careful.

Just like AMR, Bookmarking Demon can literally create you thousands of social bookmarking links at the push of a button. What I like about Bookmarking Demon is that it is an extremely versatile tool. For example, Bookmarking Demon is a great way to drive laser targeted traffic to your site via quality postings. At the same time it works great as a "Tier 2" blaster that can help you get your other backlinks that point to your sites indexed faster by blasting thousands of social bookmarks to them. It offers in depth SEO competition analysis and has great keyword research capabilities. It also has a rank tracker where you can track the progress of your websites for their targeted keywords which makes it easy to manage your campaigns. The software sometimes can be slow and buggy as it relies on data from Google, and often there are issues when Google makes changes to the way it's data can be accessed. However the staff is usually on it and the fixes come through pretty quickly.

I use Market Samurai every day to research keywords, analyze my competition, and then track the progress of the campaigns I build with this information. The built in rank tracker is nice because you can set up profiles for each of your websites and easily track the rankings of multiple keywords in search engines at the same time without having to Google them one by one. Arguably the most effective tool in internet marketing, Scrapebox is also one of the most misunderstood and misused as well. Scrapebox is technically blog commenting software that can post to thousands of blogs built on WordPress, Blog Engine, and Movable Type platforms (you can also teach it other platforms). However it does so much more than that. It has the ability to check PR, indexed links, scrape keywords, and find your competitors backlinks. It also has a built in link checker and has the ability to scrape thousands of URLs for specific things that you are looking for. Whether you want to find high PR blogs to manually comment on or blast 300,000 backlinks to your web 2.0 properties, Scrapebox has a multitude of functions that encompasses a broad range of areas.

At a one time fee of $97 it is well worth the money. However it should be noted that to use Scrapebox properly you will need to run it on a VPS and use a TON of private proxies. Scrapebox is very resource intensive and should not be run on your home internet connection as you may have issues with your local internet service provider. When I was new to Scrapebox I ran it on my home computer and had my internet temporarily shut down as I was sucking up too much bandwidth. So if you want to "do it right" you will need a VPS and a lot of private proxies. My Scrapebox set-up costs me roughly $300/month, though I probably use it more than the average marketer would have to. However I believe the average marketer will still probably need a set-up that costs at least $100/month to get some decent results from the software.

There is also a high learning curve to Scrapebox and I would recommend plunking down for a course on it. My favorite is Ultimate Scrapebox Tutorials, and trust me you will save yourself a lot of time and headache by getting some training on it as the software is quite robust. You're not going to be able to figure out the software yourself, so just learn how to use it from the experts.
