These days everyone gets so caught up in driving traffic via Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter that they often forget that there are tons of other websites that can drive traffic as well.
One of my favorite sites to use outside of the "Big 3" is Digg.
If you are not familiar with Digg, basically it is a site here you can share articles that you like. Whether the article is yours or not is up to you, but once it is out there people can "Digg it" if they like what you are sharing.
If an article gets enough "Diggs", it moves up in visibility and there is the potential for it to go viral.
Ideally when using Digg, you want to post an article from your website so that you can drive traffic there. To do it right though you have to post something that is interesting and of good value to the Digg community.
If you post junk, no one will "Digg it", and thus no one will ever see it.
However if you do post great content and a lot of people "Digg it", you have the potential to drive thousands of people to your site through an article that goes viral. At any given moment there are tens of thousands of people on Digg, so the traffic potential is huge!
My advice would be if you haven't already to check out Digg. Create good content and post it on there and just ride the wave!![]()
